Choose the Best Email Marketing Software – 30 min

Setup an Email List – 1 hour

  • Gather all the data of your subscribers, leads, clients, partners, VIP list, and so on.
  • Go to any email marketing software, for example create a new Mailchimp account
  • Activate and login to Mailchimp, on the dashboard click on “Audience”
  • Go to Manage Audiences and click on “View Audiences” from the drop-down list
  • Click on the button “Create Audience” and fill-up all the details. Visit:
  • Click save and add a subscriber

Design Your Email Template – 2 hour

  • Login to your Mailchimp email marketing tool
  • Click on create campaign
  • Choose “Email” and pick from the options like regular, automated, plain text, A/B test. Note: Recommended to choose automated
  • From the Featured lists choose “welcome new subscribers”
  • Choose the audience or lists that you have created and click on begin button
  • Click on design email and provide all the email information. Click next
  • Select a template from layouts, themes, code your own, etc
  • Design your email by inserting contents, links, logos, images, styles, etc.
  • Click on “save as template” above, name it and save to use it later
  • Click on save and continue
  • Under the Audience there are signup forms that let you embed a Mailchimp signup form on any page of your website.

Setup Autoresponder – 1 hour

  • Select a campaign that you have created on Mailchimp
  • You can see the email template designed for your subscribers that is to be triggered
  • Click on “Add Email” below to add other automation emails. Note: This one is a follow-up message to be triggered after the first mail is sent
  • Click on edit modify and design the email template. For more details see this video-
  • Double check the email, subject line, sender name and email, the recipients, the links, and content.
  • And send emails to your own email(s)! Just to make sure no mistake can happen.
  • Click save and you can create multiple automated emails

Manage Leads or Subscribers on Mailchimp – 1 hour

  • Go to your Mailchimp dashboard and click “Audience”
  • Select the audience you want to create a form for
  • From the audience details page, click “Signup forms”
  • From the Signup forms page, click “Embedded forms”
  • Set the options for signup form, then copy and paste the embed code onto your website where you want the form to show up
  • You can also use Form Builder to add additional fields & customize the form
  • On WordPress you can use Contact Form 7 in combination with the Contact Form 7 MailChimp Extension to create custom forms that will add people who submit your form
  • You could also use a popup plugin that integrates with MailChimp to create a pop-up form. For example- Convert Plus (WordPress plugin)
